The Degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources implemented at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2009, results from the integration of the degrees in Labor Relations (diploma) and Labor Sciences (only 2nd cycle). The main objective of this degree was to provide comprehensive quality training for professional practice in the field of employment, labor relations and human resource management. Specifically, the degree focused on the acquisition of general legal training, especially labor law, as well as sociological, organizational, historical and psychological training aimed at preparing for the exercise of professional activities, such as legal advice- employment, direction and management of human resources, mediation and labor guidance, among others. In the year 2020, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the implementation of the degree, and, in some way, encouraged by the modification that was being carried out in the Degree in Law, the reform of the Degree in RRLL and HR was proposed. Thirteen years having passed since the adaptation of the RRLL Diploma (which in turn came from the Social Graduate Studies Diploma (plan 1980)), as well as a decade since the First Course of the Degree was offered, we already had the experience necessary that allowed us to detect aspects of the degree that could be improved.
