PhD Program in Educational Administration and Planning

The department's specializations and interests were practiced within the Department of the College of Education, which was established in 1385/1386 AH, and the Department of Psychology and the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods branched out of it. The Department of Education continued to provide the specializations of the Fundamentals of Education and Educational Administration and Planning divisions for students of educational preparation in the College of Education.
In the year 1395/1396 AH, the department began offering a graduate program for the diploma and master’s levels in both educational administration and planning, and comparative pedagogy.
In the year 1406 AH, the department began offering a doctoral program in the divisions of educational administration and foundations of education.
In the year 1407 AH, the two divisions of the Education Department were separated into two independent departments:
1- Department of Educational Administration and Planning.
2- Department of Islamic and Comparative Education.
This is due to the steady growth in demand for the department’s program and the increase in faculty members.
